I recognize myself here not as an expat or immigrant or even tourist, whatever you name it. I try my best to act like a local, speak Dutch (at least thank you, please and goodbye, haha), and pay attention with what they do.
These are the things based on my daily research, do not get offended with it, sometimes I feel like this point is quite similar with my habit and promise to myself that I’m trying to reduce it as much as I can when I come back to Indonesia.

Don’t get offended!!
But most of us tends to stare with our mobile phone instead of read something or even… do nothing. I find many people or most people here starts to open a book and read it, they just check their cellphone for few seconds and continue reading. So, would you mind to replace your book instead of phone while waiting?
2. After meal

Well actually, we can blame everyone here in Indonesia. You know, procedure and jobdesc might be changed based on the countries. Indonesia tends to just let the meal as it is, so there’s a staff who clean it up. And people in here has less staff to clean everything (due to high wage perhaps), so after meal everyone just throw the meal on the trash bin.
3. Commitment in time

If you (and also I) just realize that it is offended you more than you thought, might be one of there three are represents you recently. If no, congratulations.. you have my big applause and appreciate.
